Hot off the press and our post for Blog Action Day, Al Gore has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize which he quickly shared with the International Panel on Climate Change. Through the grapevine, we heard that Gore will be opening up stores around the world that will sell sustainable green products. What a genius idea!
“I will accept this award on behalf of all the people that have been working so long and so hard to try to get the message out about this planetary emergency,†Mr. Gore said Friday in Palo Alto, Calif., standing with his wife, Tipper, and four members of the United Nations climate panel. “I’m going back to work right now,†he said.
Looking back at the 2004 election, the guy that could have been our President wins a Nobel Peace Prize and the guy that is our President will be known for invading Iraq, ignoring New Orleans and choking on a pretzel. Great. Everything happens for a reason right?
