One man’s trash is another man’s sushi roller thanks to the keen eye of junior-year Industrial Design students at Western Washington University and their project ReMade. The goal: create salable eco-friendly goods from recycled materials.
The collection and its materials include light switch covers made from old street signs, sushi rollers made from bicycle spokes, fully biodegradable plant pots and my favorite, X-acto blade handles made from old toothbrushes.
Anyone in Seattle can check out their wares at Goods for the Planet or at the Seattle Art Museum through December 25th, 2007.
