Brad Pitt is rebuilding homes in the Lower 9th Ward through a project called Make It Right where 150 affordable, environmentally sound homes will be built over the next 2 years. “If you have this blank slate and this great technology out there, what better test than low-income housing?” Mr. Pitt said. “It’s got to work at all levels to really be viable.” While filming he New Orleans, he saw a piece of pink fabric on the set and decided to incorporate pink into actual pink houses as a metaphor for hope.
