2114109442_7684060eff_o.jpgIn collaboration with the Common Cents foundation, students from 350 schools collected 100 million pennies valued at $1M to donate to charities of their choice.

“It’s actually the kids who take charge of the money,” said Penny Harvest co-founder Nora Gross. “They have to make all the tough decisions about how to give the money away, so sometimes they’re deciding between supporting cancer research or buying a hot plate for a homeless shelter.” - NY1

The display is being held at the Rockefeller Center and will be there until the end of the year. If you get a chance, go check it out. Visually powerful!- Spotted at Influx Insights -
