My high school class voted me Worst-Dressed senior 2000. From there I went on to win the greater Sacramento area Terribly Dressed Championship and eventually finished second runner up in the Northern California I-Only-Dress-In-The-Dark main gala event.I wasn’t much better in college, once attending a wedding in Adidas soccer sandals reinforced with duck-tape. It was pretty bad.Then I moved to New York, and with the unerring eye of my dear friend Ms. Bregita began to refashion myself into a new man. Beacon’s Closet became my Mecca and I dove head first into the magical land of pastels and paisley prints.Tonight perhaps marks the culmination of my transformation. Fashion blogger Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist has his first Chelsea Gallery opening, and it promises to be premium on people watching.
