New Orleans is back in full force! Mardi Gras 2008 promises to be a good one. Probably the best one since that word that starts with a K. If you want to help rebuild one of the greatest cities in the world, come down and visit. Spend your money. Get some beads. And drink and party in the street.
With all of the parades and floats about to flood the streets of New Orleans it’s tricky to know which one may suite your fancy.
Tiger fans can get their fix this Mardi Gras. The LSU marching band will be making their first big appearance since the BSC championship game in the Rex parade. Famous in their own right, they lead parade goers to choose between watching them compared to others such as Salt-n-Pepa who are just some of the big names headlining the Krewe of Orpheus.
However, if you want a few minutes of starring at a sexy man, then you might want to go to Orpheus. Castroneves who is the Dancing with the Stars champion and recently named one of People’s sexiest men of the year 2007 will be riding on his own float.
The Saints head coach will be in the Lundi Gras, which has 36 floats with the theme “Cocktails and Connections.â€Â And if you’re a Hulkamaniac, check out Hulk Hogan on Bacchus.
The choice is up to you but it is best to go into Mardi Gras with a sense of what is going on when so you can definitely make the ones that sound best to your personal taste.
Nevertheless, ask yourself, who would not want to watch the good luck makers in gold who helped the football team march over Ohio State in LSU’s National Championship victory? Not like that is a biased opinion or anything.
