Whether you’re for Obama or not, it’s hard to ignore the grassroots and creative energy behind the campaign. Take this contest by MoveOn.org which comes to us from our friend Nikki. It’s an open call for submissions of a 30-second Obama ad that will be viewed by millions online, air on national TV, and be seen by everyone from Matt Damon to Oliver Stone to Naomi Wolf.
Seriously, the cast of judges in and of itself could make a star studded Obama blockbuster (musical/action/dance flick anyone?)
The chance to win $20,000 in video editing equipment’s not a bad incentive either, but that’s probably not what’s driving the hundreds of people collaborating on the message boards to create the next best people powered Obama ad.
If you want to get involved, you have until April 1st to submit something, help the people who still need writers, editors, and videographers or just answer questions about everything from copyright to voice overs.
After all the ads are submitted, there’ll be a chance to vote on which ad is best—will you and Julia Styles pick the same ad? Only one way to find out.
