As our team thinks about the future of All Day Buffet, we would love to tap into our community (you) to help us figure that out. We started with the simple mission of bridging the gap between the social innovation world and the creative community. We did that by changing the conventions of “doing good” by linking the things we like to do with the things that matter the most. Throughout the past year, we’ve learned tons about building a brand and serving a much needed community. Now we need your insight on how we can leverage these same resources to help change the world!
Here are some things we’ve observed and solutions we’re considering:
(*) The much needed support that small non-profits need from the creative community. We’ve thrown around ideas of creating a collective network of creative professionals to work with these non-profits and get PAID for their services. ADB can become a hub and platform between the two worlds.
(*) Lack of social change events that appeal to the creative community. We’ve also looked into
creating lifestyle events that appeal to you guys such as music festivals, parties, conferences, education seminars, etc.
(*) Lack of Action within the creative community. While a lot of buzz has been around raising awareness about certain issues and charities, there hasn’t been a lot of action within these same areas. We talk to a lot of people that want to just DO something to help change the world rather than TALKING about changing the world. We’re heavily exploring ways and things to make this happen as well.
These are couple of things we’re pursuing. We would love to get feedback from you guys (small or big) on what holds next for All Day Buffet. Feel free to leave a comment below or email us directly (hello[at]alldaybuffet[dot]org) and we’ll personally get back to you. Help us change the world!

When I was young, I wanted to change the world but assumed it would be difficult. In the past year I have discovered that it simply comes down to taking action.
My co-founder and I have been very frustrated by all the people who talk about how wonderful our idea is, give us advice, criticize, but will not act, even when asked directly.
At first we felt like it was always coming back to us to do what needed done. However, we are very slowly acquiring a core group of mostly young and definitely creative people who have caught the spark and are taking action.
One issue is finding a meeting point between convention and innovation. Most of the money that might potentially fund us is rooted in convention. We have repeatedly explored the typical non-profit path, thrown up our hands in despair and decided to invent a new way.
I think your challenge will be to get people from talking to acting.
