CFD Boston Beat–Street Attack

July 1st, 2008 by Jerri Chou · 2 Comments

What’s new up in these parts? CFD’s coming to Boston thanks to our partners at Street Attack. An alternative-marketing agency they’ve got a serious social bent (just check out their links page). They know their traditional and nontraditional marketing, and when turned toward good causes means everything from launching the best green rating site on the web IzzitGreen.com to building biodeisle buses.

We caught up with Selena (our Boston go to) for a representative sample of the group:

What do you do for the $?

distribute colorful yet educational leaflets reminding everyone they are sinners

What do you do for Good?

clean up after my dog

What would you want to do forever?

Mad scientist/inventor

If you could wear someone else’s shoes, whose would they be and why?

Shaq- because I’d look like a clown and it would make people laugh

What is your favorite Idea?

Mesh Networks- See Roofnet

http://pdos.csail.mit.edu/roofnet/doku.php

combines DIY with advanced technology and community networks to create a functioning system that’s unique to that time and place. It’s a fundamental principal in our “million nodes of influence” approach to marketing and Word of Mouth.

What’s one thing you want to change?

Price of oil

What do you need to create that change?

a new form of energy that can be transferred over a mesh network
