ACTION PROJECT: NOLA 100

July 8th, 2008 by mikekarnj · 1 Comment

1 Day. 1 City. 100 Innovators.
A project dedicated to the innovative and positive changes post-katrina.

As the 3-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaches on August 29th, we’re launching an online initiative to highlight the growth and inspirational stories of New Orleans. We’re compiling a list of the 100 most innovative, world-changing, and positive post-Katrina stories, from which we will create a list of the best 100. All things that go unrecognized on CNN or in USA TODAY.

By leveraging the social web, our goal is to rally thousands of voices to showcase positive social change. On August 29, 2008, we’ll distribute the ‘NOLA 100 list’ through every major blog, website, email list, etc to spread the word and initiative. By utilizing the power of the social connections on the web, we can reach a combined audience of millions to raise awareness, change perceptions, and inspire action. We’ll encourage websites to re-post the list and for bloggers to write about their favorites initiatives. Imagine the impact this will have on showcasing the new New Orleans on August 29th. Help us by adding to the 100 list below…
