It’s T-minus 7 days till the anniversary of Katrina and while Bush runs at the mouth about “signs of progress” and “brighter days”, we’re working on shining some light on the real change makers and amazing projects coming out of New Orleans.
The New Orleans 100 comes out this Monday, August 25th and will list the 100 most innovative and world-changing ideas to take root in the city since Katrina. Outside the system and under the radar, these people, organizations and projects have made New Orleans what Businesss Week calls the Startup Laboratory. So if you think the piece in AdAge about using Junk Mail to track recovery is pretty neat, get ready to have your mind blown.
And once you have, share the love, because we’re relying on you masters of the internet, to help us change the perception of New Orleans, from busted to an inspiration. So come Monday, blog, repost, email, digg, stumbling, and anything else you can get your media savvy hands on to spread the word about and 1, 10, or all 100 of the projects featured. Everyone can make a difference. All it takes is a click.
If you haven’t signed up for the list yet, check it out at http://alldaybuffet.org/neworleans100/
See your inboxes Monday!
